Partners undertake MoRPh training to assess river habitats & improve projects
CamEO conference planning has now begun… See you at the Maltings, Ely on 20th February 2018

What might Brexit mean for CaBA partnerships?

We are yet to fully understand the implications of Brexit on CaBA and management of the natural environment; however, much of the Water Framework Directive is already in UK law and is unlikely to be changed in the immediate term. Support continues for CaBA and therefore we are continuing to work in the same way to grow the partnership and deliver environmental improvements.

In terms of funding, we have personally had quite a lot of success with European funding. There is a chance that this will no longer be available to partnerships, so we expect UK funding pots (e.g. Heritage Lottery Fund) to become more competitive. We are urging our partners to engage with local businesses and provide a way for these to easily invest in improvements to the local environment.
